Locals will tell you there’s nothing like inclement coastal weather — when skies threaten, waves froth, and oh how the winds do howl — to quicken the pulse of life here. On some days, offering moments like the one depicted above, the ocean will dance and the sun shine even as raindrops fall, as if the coast were a pastel painting by an impressionist master, impossible not to admire.
